My wife and I recently purchased a home through the Hernandez Realty Group, but more specifically through your agent John Cearnal.

After several previous visits to the area we were relatively familiar with Ajijic and the surrounding towns and villages, and as such, we were able to find our way around. What we hadn’t found was a reliable realtor.

During an Internet search last fall, we came across John’s listing at Linda Vista #46 in Vista del Lago. The written description and accompanying video were sufficiently interesting for us to establish communication, and solicit more details.

John sent emails, additional pictures and followed up with telephone calls so he could best answer a growing list of questions. On the basis of the information that we received, we decided to fly down to Guadalajara and take a look for ourselves. John made hotel arrangements, picked us up at the airport, arranged for a rental car and shepherded us through the balance of our stay. 

Within days we decided to make an offer and John proved to be as professional during negotiations as he had been throughout the previous days and weeks. 

John continued to make sure that he covered all the required details; he made introductions that helped us through the visa process, pointed us in the right direction for health care, arranged for legal advice and gave us the benefit of his experience while living in Mexico.

John’s attention to detail and his constant follow up made the transition from Canada to Mexico relatively easy. With the “deal done” John would have been completely justified in moving on to his next client; what he did do, and continues to do, is help us settle in and get our feet on the ground. 

 John is professional, friendly, informative and helpful. Sherry and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him and his outstanding service.

I met Don & Linda Wright when my daughter and I first visited Mexico to viisit the Chapala area as a potential retirement destination. Although we were exploring the area and not ready to purchase at the time, they gave us a comprehensive tour of the area, provided us with their expertise on the various communities here and the aspects of each of the several areas.There was no hard sell and they continued to provide this service each of the four other times we visited while looking, keeping us posted on line to new opportunities. When we finally decided to purchase our home they assisted in finding professionals for the closing, coordinating and supervising the workmen and household help to upkeep the home until our move five months later. When my daughter arrived by car alone prior to my flying here, they took her under her wing, providing her with food and immediate supplies to exist until our furniture arrived. What I am describing is the personalized and caring service they provide which goes way beyond the usual “business” transaction which is their trademark. No mater how much of a sophisticated and knowledgeable traveler you have been in the past, arriving alone and unfamiliar with a new country and community can be a tramatic experience for anyone, especially two women. The Wrights caring, knowledge of the community combined with their skilled professional approach made what could have been difficult, an easier time. We have recommended them to others who are contemplating a move here as well and they were prviledged to having the same professional service. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone thinking of relocatring to the Lakeside area.

Dear Linda and Don;

. Both of you were so helpful when I listed my house with your agency. It was the first time that I sold a property by myself and if it would not have been of your assistance it still would be on the market. Only three weeks after I signed the agreement with you it was sold. I still cannot believe it, but I want to stress the fact that it was not a miracle, it was the result of your hard work. All the comparisons that Don did on the computer to come with the correct price and the video that Linda made for the listing, not to mention the work that was done to show the house to others real estate agents and to potential customers, gave positive results. I also want to mention the professional team at Hernandez Realties that took care of all the details (that were important for me) like: calculating the sums that I owed to the gardener and the maid, the change of name for the electricity, the information for preparing the deed, etc.

Dear Mr. Hernandez

I would like to thank you and Hernandez Realty for all help that was afforded to me during my visits to Ajijic. Your staff made me feel very welcome. It made my stay very relaxing to know that I was getting professional help with the listing and sale of the house.

Jenney Herren is an amazing person with the most wonderful personality. She called me un the US when she flund out I would be coming to Ajijic to settle my family´s estate and introduced herdelf and offered her help. I´m so glad she found me becouse I had not a clue of where to start!

Jenny worked very hard at getting all legalities taken care of and seeing that things were looked after at the property while I was back in the US. She made things so easy for me She works at her job with sa smile and never ending anergy!

The house at 113 Emiliano Zapata was listed in may and sold in July!

During my visits, I was able to see some of the sights in Ajijic & Chapala and enjoyed that very much..

Several years ago we made the decision to sell our lot at Vista del Lago because we had decided to purchase a home instead of building on the lot. We listed our lot with a local realtor. We had very little contact with the realtor, and the lot did not sell for several years.

In December of this year, we decided to list the same lot at Hernandez Realty, with Lori Fjelsted serving as our real estate agent. Within days, Lori contacted us to say that we had received an offer on the lot and after some negotiations, we accepted the offer.

We were very happy with the communications and organization of Lori and the rest of the Hernandez Realty Staff. If we decide to buy or sell any property in the area again, we will definitely use Hernandez Realty. We will recommend them to anyone who is looking for a realtor in the future.
